IBS industrial production plant at the GDIZ

IBS Industry

The first large-scale iodized salt industry in Benin

A project of
industrial sovereignty

Industrie Béninoise de Sel (IBS) is led by Mr. FANGNIGBE Gilles, an experienced Beninese entrepreneur. IBS aims to end Benin's dependence on salt imports and build a competitive national industry.

IBS is far more than a factory. It is a project of industrial sovereignty, capable of supplying the domestic market and exporting across West Africa.

What drives us

Make Benin a recognised producer of quality iodized salt across the sub-region, and put an end to the iodine deficiencies that hinder the human development of our people.
