IBS is changing that.
We are establishing a large iodized salt production industry at the Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone (GDIZ). With a capacity of 20 tonnes per hour, IBS meets national needs and supplies regional markets.
Our commercial product, Phenixsel, is a fine salt, refined and iodized to WHO standards — available for households, caterers and food industries.

Harvesting
Seawater and lagoon water from Djègbadji collected in the salt marshes.
Evaporation
Natural settling and evaporation in successive ponds.
Processing
Washing, purification and drying in-plant to WHO standards.
Iodization
Addition of potassium iodate (KIO3) at the WHO-recommended dose.
Packaging
Airtight packaging in 7 sizes for all uses.
